on Tortasinsky area for geological study aiming at search and evaluation of hydrocarbon fields located on the territory of Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district - Yugra

            Tortasinsky licensed area is located on the territory of Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous  district - Yugra on the border between Khanty-Mansiysk and Sugutsky regions.  

             The hard-surface road North-Seliyarovskoe-Lyantor is passing 29 km from the border of the license area. The closest oil gathering station is located on North-Seliyarovsky field, and the nearest oil preparation station – on Priobsky field.
             Within this license area Tortasinsky field was discovered (1989), oil-bearing of which is connected to the formations J0, J2 and AS7. The main productive complex is Lower-Jurassic one with the productive layer “Yu”. On Tortasinsky field there are 4 drilled wells: 2 – prospect and 2 – exploration wells with the total meterage 12736 m. The area of seismic exploration works is 3,4 linear m.

The subsurface area borders in the plan are limited by the contour with the following geographical coordinates of its corner points:

The subsurface area is granted the status of mountain (within the limits of С1+С2 reserves) and geological (within the limits of search zone) allotment.

On the territory of the licensed area there’re two communal family lands (Moldanov V.A., Lozyamova E.A.). According to the scheme of oil geological zonation Tortasinsky license area is confined to Lyaminsky region of Frolovsky oil and gas bearing district; tectonically it is located on the South-Eastern branch of Upper-Lyaminsky levee, which  complicates its Frolovsky mega-trough.

                     “Buroil&gas” LTD – the license owner provides financing of the work complex on geological study, exploration and development of the subsurface area on account of its own funds including the borrowed ones.

The license owner has undertaken the performance of the following work complex on geological study of the subsurface area:

- to work out, agree upon and approve in accordance with the established procedure the “Programme of exploration and prospect-evaluation works at Tortasinsky licensed area”;

- to drill one exploration and one prospecting well;

- to evaluate the current background pollution level of the work territory at the subsurface area;

- to work out and agree upon the programme of monitoring of the natural environment and subsurface condition;

-  to start field operation on the forth year since the license issue.

For the present moment the following has been performed:

-“Programme of prospect-evaluation works at Tortasinsky subsurface area” has been worked out, approved and handed over to the Branch for KhMAO FSE “TIF for the Ural Federal District”;

- seismic exploration works 3D in the amount of 234 linear km;

- evaluation of the current background pollution level of the work territory at the subsurface area;

- worked out the programme of monitoring natural environment and subsoil condition;

- worked out the project of search for oil and gas deposits;

- science and research work on “Historic and cultural zoning for Tortasinsky l.a.”;

- according to the Act from Subsurface use Department for KhMAO-Yugra, hydrocarbon reserves were transferred to the company ownership;

- completed the “Group project for conservation, killing, re-entering and recovery of wells on Tortasinsky field”.
